Who is the HR Career Transition Group?
The HR Career Transition Group consists of individuals with all levels of HR experience and expertise that are in the process of looking for their next professional opportunity.

The goal of the group is to help HR professionals in job transition, new graduates, or those seeking advancement in the HR field. The purpose of our group is to facilitate Networking, share Job Opportunities, discuss current job market trends, teach Interviewing Techniques, assist with Resume Preparation, and provide Guest Speakers who are leaders in their Field and/or Industry. Other objectives for the group are: Maintaining professional association with HR professionals while in transition or seeking advancement in the HR field; Learning from other experiences (rejection & opportunities), and providing ongoing communication to the community about our organization and its members.

How do I join?
Show up at one of our scheduled meetings. Please check out the MT-SHRM Events Calendar or e-mail Barbara Stewart. The group meets at the office of Lee Hecht Harrison from 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. unless the calendar of events gives an alternate date/time.

Once you “join” you will receive all of the job leads and future meeting details. You also will work with one of our board members to get your bio prepared. Your bio will be sent to companies and recruiters looking for HR professionals. Group members who miss more than 3 meetings in a row will no longer receive the distribution of leads and their bio will no longer be circulated. We announce when members have found positions and ask that we be notified if you change positions or are no longer in need information from the group.

What is the meeting time and location?
Time: 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Location: Lee Hecht Harrison • One Brentwood Commons • 750 Old Hickory Blvd. • Suite 115
Brentwood, TN in the 1st Floor in LHH office conference room located in Building 1.
Parking in the lot to the left of building one. Go in the front door and to the right to suite 115.

If you are an employer or a recruiter and want more information, just contact one of the committee members listed below the calendar of events. Also, all job leads sent to the HR Career Transition Group will also be forwarded to the MT-SHRM Web site coordinator for posting on the Career Connections page.
